Rugby Tots - Real Youth Dev!!
Rugbytots has landed in Scotland! The UK's first rugby specific play programme.
Youngsters between the age of 2 and 7 are following in their rugby heroes footsteps by attending Rugbytots. The kids were shown the ropes by Carl McWilliam, who was formerly part of the New Zealand 7s world champions team and more recently played in the Scottish Premier league for Watsonians. Carl finally hung up his boots this year and now wants to pass on his knowledge at grass roots level but in a fun and educational way.
Carl comments "It is a great way to get kids learning the very basic motor skills which will give them a head start in any sport they choose to follow. As a father, I did not want to wait until mini rugby started to get my son involved in the game. The aim is to create a positive play environment which will help to develop confidence and social skills”
